Braunfels Foundation Trust

The Braunfels Foundation Trust began with a simple act of kindness that sparked a lasting legacy. After the catastrophic flood of 1972 in New Braunfels, our sister city of Braunfels, Germany, sent $1,500 to support recovery efforts. Rather than using the funds for immediate relief, local leaders saw an opportunity to create something lasting and in 1974, the Braunfels Foundation Trust was officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

The Braunfels Foundation Trust First Step Career Tech Scholarship Program is responsible for awarding dozens of Career and Technical Education (CTE) scholarships annually to qualified graduating seniors.
