A strong community doesn’t require everyone to agree. It does require opportunities to listen, learn from one another, and stay engaged, even when perspectives differ.
On October 20, the New Braunfels Chamber and McKenna Foundation will partner with Common Ground USA and Project Unity to bring Together We Dine to the McKenna Events Center, creating an opportunity for people across the New Braunfels community to come together for productive conversation.
Together We Dine brings people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives together over a shared meal. Guided by trained facilitators, participants will share personal experiences, listen to others, and explore how political polarization and societal divisions can affect the way we understand and engage with one another.
The goal isn’t to get everyone to agree. It’s to bring people together to listen, ask questions, and have productive conversations with people who may see things differently.
The event is open to the community and will also be offered as an optional experience for participants in the Chamber’s inaugural Pathways to Leadership program.
Together We Dine reflects the Chamber’s broader effort to create more accessible ways for people to understand their community, engage with different perspectives, and participate in meaningful ways. Through opportunities like Together We Dine and Pathways to Leadership, the Chamber is creating spaces for people to ask questions, build connections, find trustworthy information, and engage constructively on issues that matter to our community.
