Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee Collecting Donations for Outstanding RAFB Airmen

Published Friday, October 30, 2020 2:00pm

The Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee is collecting donations to gift to not one, not two, but three outstanding Airmen from Randolph Airforce Base.

After several canceled events over the past few months, the Military Affairs Committee will finally gather Tuesday, November 10 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the McKenna Events Center to honor the accomplishments of Randolph Air Force Base’s 2020 Airman of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters. The Airmen, their families, and their command teams will be invited to the reception to celebrate their exemplary performance.

Each airman will be presented with a gift bag full of New Braunfels related items, gift cards and cash as a “Vacation to New Braunfels” package so these airmen will have a perfect excuse to come back and visit our great city. Donations are being accepted through November 10 and can be dropped off at the Chamber office located at 390 S. Seguin Ave. Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For any questions, please contact Chelsea Yohn at Chelsea@InNewBraunfels.com.

The purpose of the Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee is to enhance relationships between the New Braunfels community and the military, particularly those Airmen stationed at Randolph AFB. Since 1968, the committee has hosted a quarterly reception for an Outstanding Airman from RAFB to demonstrate our appreciation, ongoing commitment, and support to all who serve our nation. The New Braunfels community has always opened its arms to those who serve and will continue to proudly support all who choose to defend the United States of America.
