Who is JENKINS2D?
JENKINS2D is a Colorado-born, Texas-transplant, working in the realm of contemporary art. A Satellite member of Blue Dozen Collective in Austin, founder of First Friday New Braunfels, and the creative engine behind streetwear brand Chill Infinity, JENKINS2D's art doesn't stay contained by category. He now calls New Braunfels home, where he produces his vibrant and deceptively simple work in murals, illustration, photography, fashion, and fine art. His aesthetic—equal parts graffiti visual daring and nostalgic cartoon surrealism—has audiences in New York, Tokyo, London, and Denver. Yet it is in Central Texas that his artwork has had perhaps its most profound resonance.
About the Exhibition: Beautifying Grief
In Beautifying Grief, the artist doesn't attempt to sentimentalize suffering, but to transfigure it—casting grief in electric pinks, dreamy violets, and bittersweet neons. This installation envelops the viewer with a visual meditation on loss and healing. Seek out interactive elements, immersive soundscapes, and works that shift and undulate, drawing each viewer into a unique emotional dialogue. From murals spanning several feet wide to intimate mixed-media pieces, the show is a love letter to the mess of grieving: mystical, messy, and—yes—beautiful.
