Voting is a privilege that the Chamber holds in high regard. Voting is your opportunity to actively engage in the political process and influence outcomes. We urge all residents to participate in local, state, and national elections.

March 2024 Presidential & State Primaries

Important dates

Tuesday, February 20, 2024 First day of early voting
Friday, March 1, 2024 Last day of early voting
Tuesday, March 5, 2024 Election Day

What's on the ballot?

Several of the races listed below have positions open in various district and will vary depending on your registered address. Find who is on your ballot here.

  • President
  • State US Senator
  • 1 of 3 Railroad Commissioners
  • 15 State Senators
  • 7 State Board of Education members
  • 3 members of the Texas Supreme Court
  • 3 members of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals
  • 5 Chief Justices and various justices for Texas Courts of Appeals

Lower-level judges and local county offices will also appear on the ballot:

  • Various district judges, including on criminal and family courts
  • County Courts at Law
  • Justices of the Peace
  • District Attorneys
  • County Attorneys
  • Sheriffs
  • Constables
  • Tax Assessor-Collectors

Additionally, citizen who choose to vote Republican in the primary will see Texas Republican Party Propositions 1-13.
