As the March primary election approaches on Tuesday, March 5, it's crucial to be informed about the voting process and the candidates on the ballot. Early voting ends THIS Friday, March 1.

As an organization that advocates for the good of businesses and the community, the New Braunfels Chamber encourages all residents to get informed and participate in the democratic process. For more information, visit our website at www.nbchamber.com/vote.

During the primary election, registered voters are narrowing down candidates. The candidate who wins the majority of votes in their race will face candidates from other parties in the November general election. If no candidate receives a majority, the top two candidates will head to the primary runoff election on Tuesday, May 28.

There are national primary elections for president, US senator, and several US representatives. The ballot also includes statewide races for the Senate, House of Representatives, Board of Education, Railroad Commission, Texas Supreme Court, and others.

Our region has several representatives seeking re-election for state office. Senator Donna Campbell and Representative Carrie Isaac are running unopposed in their party primaries but will face an opponent in November. Representative John Kuempel has three opponents in the March primary and this race will determine the Republican Candidate on the ballot in November.

Comal and Guadalupe county offices are also up for election, such as various district judges, County Courts at Law, District and County Attorneys, Sheriffs, Constables, and Tax Assessor-Collectors.
