Braunfels Foundation Trust Awards 55 Career Tech Scholarships to Local Graduating Seniors

The Braunfels Foundation Trust awarded 55 scholarships to graduating seniors across the New Braunfels and Canyon Independent School District attendance zones through its First Step Career Tech Scholarship Program. Each recipient received a $2,500 scholarship to support their pursuit of a career in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) field.

The scholarships were presented on Thursday, April 16, recognizing students who plan to enter high-demand, skill-based professions ranging from healthcare and public safety to skilled trades and technology.

The Braunfels Foundation Trust First Step Career Tech Scholarship Program awards dozens of scholarships annually to qualified students who intend to pursue CTE-related careers immediately following high school. Since its inception in 2013, the program has awarded more than 500 scholarships totaling over $745,000, reflecting a strong and ongoing investment in the local workforce pipeline.

Canyon High School: Elizabeth Bartose, William Campbell, Vincent Campos, Lauren Edenburn, Zane Goodall, Tait Goode, Isabella Lopez, Alexander Munoz, Elijah Patch, Timothy Pearson, Xen Reddell, Cade Wood

Canyon Lake High School: Ryleigh Andres, Tanya Castro, Damian Crawley, Maximiliano Gama Gomez, Lance Halverson, Nicholas Meinzer, Donovan Menchaca, Hannah Montoya, Rylan Piel, Ruben Reyna Maciel, Tristan Rios, Joshua Rowe, Ava Sanchez, Gram Simpson, Brian Wilkerson, Aubrey Woodward

Davenport High School: Alexis Baber, William Hurd, Carolina Jimenez, Noah Juarez, Giovanni Olivarez, Jason Olivarez, Vanessa Rivera, Ana Sastre, Audrina Tiscareno, Scott Wilson

Memorial Early College High School: Ezrah Vasquez

Funding for the scholarship program is generated through proceeds from the annual Tablescapes event and contributions from individual donors committed to strengthening the future workforce of the New Braunfels community.
