Texas A&M Forest Service will be presenting critical information regarding wildfire risk assessment and establishing wildfire mitigation strategies at the Tye Preston Memorial Library, Canyon Lake, TX. Two sessions will be offered on Thursday, April 25 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. We invite you to bring your own lunch or dinner as you join us for this informative event.
Presentations will be geared towards residents living in the wildland urban interface, or where humans and their structures intermix with vegetation, with the goal of encouraging homeowners to take action to protect their property from the threat of wildfire. Texas A&M Forest Service will also discuss a pass-through cost share grant opportunity for landowners to complete mechanical wildfire fuels reduction; https://tfsweb.tamu.edu/mechgrant/ .
