Maile Alau (she/her/ʻo ia) is a native Hawaiian organizational development practitioner, focusing on the importance of pilina for leaders and teams, understanding that that authentic human connection isn’t just a “soft skill” — it’s the foundation for real productivity. She is a keynote speaker and the owner of Alau Consulting.

Maile comes from a large family, and has followed in her parents’ footsteps as a deeply curious lifelong learner. She is deeply connected to her Hawaiian heritage through food, as making lūʻau has been her familyʻs cultural practice for 4 generations.

Maile has over 20 years of experience in organizational development, working with organizations across Hawai‘i. She sits on the board of directors for the Hawai‘i for Habitat for Humanity Association and the Association for Talent Development.
