New Braunfels Voters Select Community Leaders in Runoff Election

Published Monday, June 15, 2026 9:02am

Following Saturday's runoff election, New Braunfels voters have selected their representatives for Mayor and City Council District 6.

Congratulations to Michael French and Nikki Shaw on their election. Public service requires a significant commitment of time, energy, and dedication, and we appreciate their willingness to serve our community.

We also want to recognize Neal Linnartz and April Ryan for their participation in the electoral process. Running for office is no small undertaking, and each candidate invested countless hours engaging with residents, sharing their vision, and contributing to important conversations about the future of New Braunfels.

As the election season ends, we encourage our community to look ahead together. While campaigns naturally bring differing perspectives and discussion, our shared goal remains the same: a thriving New Braunfels that continues to be a great place to live, work, and do business.

The New Braunfels Chamber looks forward to working with our elected officials and community leaders to support policies and initiatives that strengthen our local economy, enhance quality of life, and position New Braunfels for long-term success.

Thank you to everyone who participated by voting, volunteering, attending forums, and staying informed.
